It is important for people to attend and comment, but this is not the last opportunity to participate in this study. thanks, John Gilkeson *** Twin Cities Meetings to focus on transit options in Central Corridor: Four public meetings will be held to discuss transit options for the Central Corridor -- the area along or near Interstate 94 and University Avenue between downtown St. Paul and downtown Minneapolis. The Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority is in the early stages of a $3 million review that will evaluate several options. Among them are busways for either University Avenue or I-94; light rail on University or I-94; commuter rail using Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks about a half-mile north of University; and commuter rail using Canadian Pacific tracks along Ayd Mill Road. The study should be completed by the end of 2001. ``This corridor connects several major locations people seek to go by transit -- the two downtowns and the University of Minnesota,'' said Kathryn DeSpiegelaere, director of the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority. ``In addition, there are lots of jobs in this area and a fair number of people who depend on transit to get to their jobs, homes or shopping.'' Here is the schedule for the final two meetings: Wednesday, November 8: 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lao Family Community of Minnesota auditorium, 320 W. University Ave., St. Paul. Monday, November 13: 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Radisson Inn, Skyway Level, Ballroom B, 411 Minnesota St., St. Paul.
